Playing Catchup

This project is already about 3/4 complete.  In just a few weeks the unibody will be painted, including door jams and trunk jam.

This is what has been done to the car up to this point:

  • Engine Bay
    • Full Shave
      • All unnecessary holes have been welded in
      • Seams welded for rigidity
      • Metal infused filler used to smooth out the bay (Evercoat)
      • Sealer/primer used to protected the metal
      • High build filler/primer used to build up and smooth the bay
    • Wire Tuck
      • All Wiring will be hidden from view as much as possible.
    • Brake Line Tuck
      • All holes to mount brake lines and/or proportioning valve have been shaved.
      • Proportioning valve will be mounted inside the cabin
  • Body
    • Shaved Antanae
    • Shaved Side Trim
    • Shaved Rear Wiper
    • Shaved Front Emblem
  • Suspension
    • Koni Yellow 5 way adjustable dampers
    • High rate (~500 lbs/sq in) springs
  • Brakes
    • 15/16" DA Integra Master & Booster
    • DA Trailing Arms w/ 9.5" Disk Brakes & Calipers
    • DA Knuckles w/ 10.3" Disk Brakes & Calipers
    • Stainless Steel Braided Lines on all 4 corners

After Paint, the process will be to:

  1. Wait for the fresh paint to cure (1-2 weeks minimum)
  2. Install Brake Lines (tucked), Master Cylnder (15/16" DA Unit), and Booster
  3. Install engine (JDM B18C from 96 ITR)
  4. Wire Engine and Car (tucked)
  5. Finish Painting and installing remaining panels.
